• Camping Update..

From Mike Dippel@954:895/1 to All on Sunday, October 24, 2021 22:29:52
My wife and I had our last trip quickly ended due to a problem with the coach. While
plugged into shore power, the coach had no electricity. Camping World diagnosed the
problem and found that the electric cord burned where it connected to the converter/inverter. That problem is fixed now and we have the coach back.

Our next trip is a rally with our Winnebago club in November. It will be a short trip to
Punta Gorda, FL, a good way to ensure everything is working now.

    More later..

    Heya Mike,

I've watched some RV travel series on YouTube and I was wondering, do you ever watch any of them? Are the tips and tricks that they talk about ever useful? Have you learned anything you didn't already know by watching any?

... DOS=HIGH? I knew it was on something...

To be honest, I don't use YouTube guides or series to plan trips at all.

There are some paperback travel guides that are very high quality. El GuiĆ³n (Spain) is quite nice because it leads you to very cost efficient places 8as opposed to many mainstream guides which just try to lead you to the most expensive places, arguing the most expensive are the best).

I don't, but I do subscribe to a site that gives me daily emails for repair tips:
    https://www.rvrepairclub.com/

My wife does all the planning, making sure I don't have to do too many miles in one day.
She also picks areas that have exciting places to visit while we are there. It's nice when
you find a location that is close to several places of interest, and you just do a short
drive in the car from the campground to see them.

If we travel, I try to post my ventures here. Our next trip is a short jaunt to Punta
Gorda (maybe 40 miles away). We belong to a group called the Caloosa Winnies, and
we have a 'Wagon Queen' that plans our group trips. She even includes short excursions once we arrive that keep us old people happy:)

Anyone with either a Winnebago product or a Newmar is welcome to join.
