• Our trip to Punta Gorda

As usual, the camping trip was fun, but not without it's problems. It's
always great to spend time with people that you have things in common
with. One night we had a great dinner at a restaurant on the water.

The first day we had a breakfast buffet in the clubhouse, my wife and
were relected to the Board as Secretaries, games at night. Everything
    was great.

But then the rains came. It rained so hard in the campground that it
was raining sideways. Unfortunately, that exposed a leak on the
passenger side of the unit to the point where water was coming into the
    upper cabinets.

Thank goodness it stopped before I ran out of towels :)

Anyway, I am still not discouraged. We have the coach scheduled to be
sealed in the next coming weeks so we can try it all over again.

One of our last outings was crazy to! We have a Rockwood Tent Trailer and were up in the Sierras at the end of May. Temps dropped so low that our Propane
tank froze, then the generator quit. No heat and well below freezing. Then to top it off it started snowing. I remember the wife, dog and I huddled up on
the couch with sleeping bags watching Daniel Boone on the TV. Ended up being a good trip in the end but started out crazy! Memeories! :)

Years ago, we would do weekend tent camping in Michigan. With our luck, it seemed
that we always chose a low spot to set up camp, and when the rains came, we awoke
very wet! We didn't have a TV, a generator or a couch. Just a tent.

More than once, we would break camp early, stick the soaked tent in the trunk and head
home to let the tent dry out.

    Oh, the memories!

Growing up I went camping in cabins at a state park for many years. I believe that there is some kind of ratio for camping, be it in a tent, cabin or RV that there has to be some kind of "disaster" once every so many trips.

Never end of the world type stuff, more "this is gonna make one heck of a story when I get home" level problems.

... As a matter of fact, it IS a banana in my pocket!
