Wasn't sure if you had seen them. Some (a very small handful,
more from the onset of the campaign) are 'interesting'. I'll admit to watching the spinoff "Caveman Show" -- whatever it was called -- mainly because was curious how they could integrate the caveman into the modern
world. Obviously not very well as the show lasted only three, maybe
    four shows.

First show - sets down the concept. Expect roughness. Mediocre response
    from me.

Second show. Expecting better as now they can concentrate on a plot
after getting the setup done in the first show. ...Well, that was a
waste of 23 minutes (skip through the commercials).

Third show -- things aren't getting better. Delete from recording list.

<snicker> Quite frankly if it wasn't for the commercials we probably
would have not watched the show at all. Not that we're a big fan of the caveman commercials; was more the hype of the new show and how they
    basically expand a 30- or 60-second commercial into a 23-minute show.
We were thinking it was going to be something alongt he lines of _The
Beverley Hillbillies_: caveman familiy discovered, gets moved to the
city, laugh with them and at them as they learn a green VW Beetle is not

Nice, but then, like the typewriter, you (and I <G>) are dinosaurs... GH>well, everyone using the BBS system is <GG>

There used to be a theme park for our type:

    http://www.sca-roadside.org/endangered/details.cfm?id=8

There's a group (The Society for Commercial Archeology) devoted to
preserving what they call, "endangered roadside places."

Dinosaur World in Beaver, Arkansas is the largest property on their
    "Falling by the Wayside" list.

    Barry...

adjust it down. ...Figure the typewriter thought it was hammering
    against stone!

If memory serves, those old Smith Coronas were around when stone was
    used <GG>

Icon? What's an icon? We don't need no steenkin' icons! <GG>

Hey! Even the cavemen had icons! They used pictures instead of words.

And look what happened to them. How many of them have you seen around
    lately? <GG>

    <Writing some> GAAA!!! HAND CRAMP!!!!!
See? You've gone too techie, and are just as bad as the kiddies
    in newsgroups <GG>
<sigh> But I don' wanna go back to hammering on stone to send mail!
Come now... even the old electric typewriters wouldn't qualify as
being similar to "hammering on stone" <GG>

I don't know: my old Smith Corona Merchant portable electric typewriter
for some reason hit the platen so hard the key heads would fracture at
the weld and break off! Took it to two or three shops and they couldn't
adjust it down. ...Figure the typewriter thought it was hammering
    against stone!

And this proves ....DOS works! <g>
True, but for what purpose? <GG>
To keep "Those Who Only Know Icons" at bay?
Icon? What's an icon? We don't need no steenkin' icons! <GG>
