• Rollover minutes

If you don't use your phone that often, you may want to consider
    T-Mobile Prepaid.

First, you buy a cheap phone that will work on their network
(T-Mobile supplies a list to choose from.) I use a Motorola Razr
that I bought for $35 on Craigslist.

Next you buy T-Mobile prepaid minutes via a phone card. Target
periodically has these on sale for about 20% off. If you spend $100,
you get 1,000 prepaid minutes plus 15% extra, or 150 extra
minutes. All subsequent purchases also carry a 15% bonus.

There are no monthly or daily charges--only an honest $.10/minute
charge--no extra taxes, fees, universal charges, deaf charges,
    boondock connect charges, etc..

But the beauty of T-Mobile is that, once you spend $100, these minutes
don't expire for one year. And any subsequent minutes last for one
year, plus all unused minutes extend for one year.

Last year, I had a boucoup of unused minutes that were expiring.
So I bought a $10 card. Now all my minutes are good until 2011.

I had to browse through the manual on the CD to see which button to
push. "Oh, the one with the picture of the telephone handset on it?
THAT's the one you want me to press??" <G>

Just out of curiousity... what did your last cell phone use for
answering a call... pick up the handset from the cradle? I mean, cell phones (and most portable land line phones, for that matter) have been using that symbol and the colour green to indicate the answer button for, oh, the
past six or seven years at least... <GG>

It is good that you haven't yet had to use them, but it is also good
that you have them if you need them, Facebook or no...

Yes. I wasn't really all that serious about using Facebook to keep
folks informed about whatever might happen. It was more of a remark on
just how many of my relatives are on Facebook.

By the way, I upgraded my phone today. I had been considering the Droid

So far, I haven't had to use any yet. With my parents living in Florida now, I don't know if I would. With a lot of my family (both sides) on Facebook, I almost wouldn't have to.

It appears to be a "fraternal" twin to my LG Xenon. If it is (as the
reviews suggest) like my phone, I think you will be quite happy with it...

So, by the process of elimination.... <g>

The lead of the cleaning service at the store was showing me his new
    cell phone, courtesy of his son. All he wanted was a phone to talk on;
this one has video and all the other goodies. We were trying to figure
out how one could text on it: not how to get to the text function but
how to press the teeny-tiny keys one at a time. Neither one of us has
huge hands but a fingertip would hit at least four keys at the same
    time!
