Ah! So the problem appears with the "DAV" thing. Or maybe "DeltaSync", BM>as that isn't compatible with Outlook Express. "Support would require

That's true. I remember that now. Like I said in my previous reply, I
didn't realize that's what you were talking about.

And part of the problem was I didn't know what I as talking about!! All

Shades of Abbott and Costello's "Who's on First?" routine. <G>

Now to go back to figuring out why when I insert animated GIFs they are BM>static....

I have no idea. I've since dumped Windows Live Mail. That is, I no
longer use it. I deleted all my account information from it, and am
using Thunderbird on the laptop and Outlook on the desktop.

It gets worse! We purchased a new TV here -- the old one suddenly gave
an orangish overlay to the screen; probably not worth fixing due to it's
age (easily 25 years old). Antenna reception is "the box", referring to
the DTV Converter box on the old one, which is no longer connected and
no where near the TV. The VCR (grrr) is via the AV source. The
computer (MythDora still) is via the VGA source.

"So if I want to watch TV I set it for the Box, right?" "No, you use
    the TV input."

I finally found out! (Think I posted it yesterday.) Windows Live will generally show a static GIF in the composed mail, but it animated once
sent out and/or moved to a storage folder (Drafts, Sent).
