Hey all, RG questions! (Finally getting back around to my RG BBS):

    1. Was there/is there anything similar to Rick Parrish's "Telnet Door" but for DOS? Or any other way to handle outbound telnet/rlogin in RG? For connecting to door servers, etc.

    2. I've never seen this in 16-bit BBS packages, but does a full-screen reader utility exist (e.g. not just an editor)?

    Cheers!

Use NetFoss's NFU to run Win32 Doors. Thats how it's done here.

Ah, nice. Messing with it now. Looks like there's some NTVDM issues with Windows 10 32-bit, so back to Windows 7 or 8 for me :)

Nope, just run your DOS prompt in Legacy mode ... been running on Windows 10 32 bit for 4 or 5 years now with no issues.

I'm convinced theres "big time" issues with NTVDM... totally unreliable.

OK, I'm got VMs of Win10x32 and Win7x32 running, and I'm getting the same NFU error when testing on both, so must be something I'm doing wrong.

I'm getting "NFU ERROR: NETCOM IS NOT RUNNING" after it successfully creates the Door32.sys file when launching a door. I'm using TelnetDoor as a test, launching it from a .bat file from RG:

    CD\RG\NETFOSS
    nfu.exe C:\RG\TEMP%1 "C:\RG\TDOOR\TelnetDoor.exe -DC:\RG\TEMP%1\DOOR32.SYS"

Anything look funky there? Door32.sys gets created, but then the error
appears in the sysop window. I'm setting the node and socket vars in the rg.bat file, per the docs...

    Any help is appreciated!

OK, first -- problem solved. it was user error. Ugh. Second -- I realize this isn't a Renegade issue, sorry I polluted this sub!

Anyway, one step closer to launching my RG board!
